The new 3-way adjustable ST XTA plus 3 coilover is now available for the three top models Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC, Mercedes-AMG A 45 4MATIC+ and Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+. According to the technical parts certificate, the coilover allows a stepless lowering of 10 to 30 millimeters on the front axle and 5 to 30 millimeters on the sporty compact AMG.

The shock absorbers can be adjusted very precisely so that the damping is taken into account when driving over long bumps, braking, starting off and even turning in. This is set via a so-called low-speed compression needle valve. In contrast, the damping has to react much faster on uneven asphalt surfaces, transverse joints, and cross grooves. This can equally be adjusted on the XTA plus 3 with 24 click steps via the high-speed compression valve. When the high-speed adjustment wheel is turned, the valve spring preload changes.

The rebound is set directly via the adjustment wheel at the top end of the piston rod. There are 16 click stages to choose from.

If the compression valves are closed, the body roll is reduced even more, the handling becomes more direct, and the track stability is increased. The rolling comfort benefits from opened valves. Due to the KW valve technology used in the three-way adjustable dampers, there is no need for a reservoir any longer. Whereas the two compression valves can be adjusted in high-speed and low-speed with 24 clicks each, there are 16 click stages to choose from for the low-speed rebound. The rebound primarily influences the vehicle's connection to the road surface and its handling.

As usual with all coilovers from ST suspensions, the ST XTA plus 3 can be customized on sporty compact models.

If desired, the ST XTA plus 3 coilover can be purchased for all Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC, A 45 4MATIC+ and A 45 S 4MATIC+ (V177) with customized suspension components. For instance, there is a choice of 18 RAL colors for the main springs (bearing springs). The coating as well as the individual spring marking can be ordered in the ST online store or from specialist dealers. Furthermore, an individual signature can be applied. Various spring kits, which differ in their rate and length, are optionally available for the ST XTA plus 3 coilover for the Mercedes-AMG.
